Winter Snowflake Cocktail
Today is the day after Thanksgiving, which means it’s perfect acceptable for me to put the Christmas decorations up, listen to festive music, shop like I don’t have to pay my credit card bills and continue to bombard you with Christmas posts, right? Great! It’s Friday and if you’re anything like me, you’re probably wondering what fun cocktails you can enjoy this weekend to help you relax and forget about all the work you’ve still got to do. To save you the trouble of coming up with a Christmas cocktail recipe yourself, I made one for you!
This Winter Snowflake Cocktail (It’s the best I could come up with! Although I’m a writer, I’ve never been too great with titles, so drop it already) is perfect to enjoy on those chilly winter nights when all you want to do is snuggle up in front of the TV and keep warm. Plus, it’s topped with whipped cream, which is mandatory for any hot drink served in the holiday season. If you don’t have any Kahlua (or just don’t like it) you could try subbing Baileys – it works really well, too!
Ingredients
- 2oz Kahlua
- 1 tablespoon white chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon white sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence - yes a whole teaspoon!
- 1/2 cup milk
- Whipped cream and caramel curls (or chocolate shavings) to decorate
Instructions
- Stir together the white chocolate chips, white sugar, vanilla essence and milk together in a microwave-safe dish.
- Head in the microwave for 60-90 seconds until piping hot and the chocolate chips and white sugar have fully dissolved.
- Pour into a coffee glass or mug and add the Kahlua.
- Stir well and top with whipped cream and caramel curls.
Here are the link parties I link up to.
