Would you believe me if I told you that up until yesterday I had never tried buffalo sauce? It’s true! Sure, I’d heard of it plenty of times – after finding out about it the dish ‘Buffalo Wings’ made a lot more sense, fyi – but I’d never tried it for myself.
Well now I can tick buffalo sauce off my must-make list – don’t worry, there are still over a million things on that list to make, so there will be plenty more recipes coming your way! You know what hit me as soon as I tried the buffalo sauce? How similar it was to this red mojo sauce. I’m not sure if it was the vinegar or the combination of the spices, but there is definitely a similarity somewhere.
One of the best things about this sauce is how quick and easy it is to make. Throw the ingredients in a saucepan, heat it up and serve – it really is that simple and within ten minutes you’re ready to go. It takes you longer than that to drive to the store! So even if you find out that you’re completely out of buffalo sauce at the last minute, you’ve still got enough time to whip up a batch and save dinner.
I know I go on about it time and time again, but I’m still going to tell you how much I love making things from scratch. Bread, cookies, sauces – whatever it is homemade is always better in my opinion, don’t you think?
