Christmas Cranberry & Basil Mojito
Curse you rainy winter weather! Can you believe I only managed to get one picture of this cocktail? And not one beautiful picture at that – one picture of the top of a glass taken on the table outside that’s covered in rain drops. Not because I’m lazy! I made a lovely set up on a fancy Christmas box with a pine cone and fluffy stocking in the background but the weather was just not agreeing with my camera. No matter which angle I adopted every single picture came out dull, dark and blurry. This was the only usable one.
So you’ll have to trust me on this and believe me when I say that this cocktail tastes great and looks fabulous! The drink itself is colored red and the green of the limes and mint leaves make it perfect to serve during the festive season.
Yield: 1 serving
Ingredients
- 2oz cranberry liqueur
- 2oz white rum
- 1/2 lime
- 5 mint leaves
- 5 basil leaves
- 5 cranberries
- soda water
- ice
Instructions
- Place the mint and basil leaves in the bottom of the glass and bash with a spoon.
- Drop a couple of ice cubes into the glass and pour over the cranberry liqueur and rum.
- Top the glass with soda water and add the cranberries.
Here are the link parties I link up to.

This looks super good! I love mojitos, which normally aren’t a very ‘wintery’ drink. However, I think the cranberries are just the right addition, and it doesn’t hurt that together with the mint the drink is red and green :)
I would love it if you would link up at Martha Mondays, open now through Wednesday night!
